Family Visit

I realize I have not been keeping up with my adventures in this blog... its hard. I usually don't write unless its the night before my essay is due. Freestyle writing hasn't been my biggest forte. Well here it goes again. A couple weeks ago I got the privilege in showing my family Salinas and Monterey. They arrived while I was trying to defeat the cat invaded trash in the driveway. Then as I showed the house I now call home there was a pile of fresh dog poop was in the dining area... We woke up early the next day to explore my favorite parts of Monterey. Mark and I rode our bikes up and down the trail from Lovers Point to the slug seal beach (earlier post). After the fifth time of going back and forth, I was just about to clapse of exhaustion, we locked up our bikes and hit the tide pools. It was my first time exploring the tide pools and I was extremely impressed at the wild life it contained. Black crabs, fighting hermit crabs, small fish, sea urchins, sea slugs, and many more got many pokes by our sticks. And of course to end the trip we go to Fisherman's Wharf to have our bowls of clam chowder. It was a great success - just ask Mark.
